Another Pioneer RC cycle is starting this weekend with the European tournament in Lille, so, as per usual, I’m here sharing my roughly quarterly thoughts on Phoenix. Why do I keep playing Phoenix?

Even though Pioneer metagame changes somewhat significantly with new Standard legal sets getting released every few months, as well as some metagame developments, I think we’re getting to the point in which experience prevails over deck selection in Pioneer, provided of course that your choice is sound and not some tier three concoction that you fueled hundreds of hours into.
