With WotC’s efforts to once more put Standard at the forefront of competitive Magic, we’ve decided to start writing about the format more than just before the RC every year, especially given that many people asked us to cover it more often, as Sodek already mentioned in his recent Convoke article. I’d be remiss if I didn’t emphasise the impact that Worlds had on my enthusiasm when it comes to Standard - it was a great tournament to follow from the sidelines and it re-ignited my once flaming passion for the format.
